Who can apply?

Business credit cards require the owner or authorized officer of the business to apply

Can I apply for a business card online?

Yes, you can apply online. View card choices and apply for the one that's right for you. Some applications may require further consideration and additional information from you.

Is there an annual fee for a business card?

Can I get my business name on the credit card?

Yes, your business name will appear below the individual cardholder name on each card that you request.

What do I need to apply for a credit card?

When you apply for a Bank of America business credit card, you will be asked for information about yourself, the cardholders you designate and your company. To speed up the application process, it will be helpful to have several items on hand. These include Social Security numbers for the authorized signer and all card holders, legal name and street address of the business, business tax ID (or Social Security number for sole proprietors), and the business gross annual sales and net profit for the last fiscal year. Please note that additional financial information or other documents may be requested prior to the completion of your application review.

After I apply, how long does it take to receive a business card?

If approved, you'll normally receive your new card(s) within 7-10 business days from our receipt of your application.

How do I check the status of my application?

Application processing is generally completed within 10-12 business days of our receipt of all required documentation. To inquire regarding the status of an application, call us 24/7 at 1.800.892.3219.

Is there a limit on the number of cards that I can request for my company?

No. There is no limit to the number of cards you can request.

How can I protect my credit card account?

Business Card Security™ is an optional protection plan available with some of our business credit cards that helps protect your account in the event of the unexpected, such as hospitalization, temporary or permanent disablement, accidental death, identity theft and business interruptions. Balance transfers and cash access

How can I transfer balances to my credit card?

If you are eligible, you can request to have a non-Bank of America business credit card balance transferred to your Bank of America business credit card through Online Banking. You may also call 1.800.892.3219 and, in most cases, we will transfer balances to your new card within 10 business days upon approval.

Can I transfer a balance from a personal Bank of America credit card to a Bank of America business card?

No. However, you can transfer balances from any non-Bank of America business credit card to a Bank of America business credit card.

Is there any restriction on balances I can transfer?

The total value of transfer requests cannot exceed your credit line. Balance transfers may not be used to pay off or pay down another Bank of America account.

How long does it take to complete a balance transfer?

If your balance transfer request is received with your credit card application, you should allow at least 10 business days from account opening for processing of your request(s). You should continue to make your monthly payments to each creditor until the balance transfer appears as a credit on that account.

Are there any fees for making a balance transfer?

Fees and finance charges may apply in accordance with the terms and conditions for your account. Call 1.800.892.3219 for specific information pertaining to the fees and finance charges for your account.

How do I get cash with my credit card?

You can access cash by using your credit card and PIN at ATMs in most countries. You can also request cash advance checks from us, which can be used just like personal checks. Finally, you can also get cash with your credit card and photo ID at most banks displaying the MasterCard® or Visa® logo. Can I use my credit card at an ATM?

Yes. You can obtain cash from ATMs in most countries throughout the world where you see the Mastercard or Visa logos. To locate an ATM, select either of the following logos:

Are there any limits on the amount that I can withdraw from an ATM?

For your security, you can only withdraw up to $400 of your available account balance per day from an ATM. If you need to withdraw more than $400, you can usually go into a bank with a recognized form of picture ID, such as your license or passport, and withdraw larger amounts of your available account balance.

Are there any fees for getting cash with my credit card?

Yes, there is a cash advance fee on any transaction through which you receive cash or a cash substitute by using your card or card number. Refer to the specific terms and conditions for your card.

Can I arrange for pre-authorized payments on my account?

Yes. Your minimum monthly payment can be debited directly from your checking account. To enroll, access Online Banking.

What is a minimum payment?

The minimum payment is the smallest monthly payment that you can make and still comply with the terms and conditions of your account agreement. Each month that your account has a balance, a minimum payment will be due. Please refer to your terms and conditions and monthly statement for details.

What can I do if I have trouble making payments?

It is important to pay consistently and on time. You can dramatically reduce your debt simply by paying a little more than the minimum amount due each month. Learn more

How do I access my account information?

Our Online Banking lets you access important account information—including current daily balances—anytime, from any computer or mobile device with internet access. View your business and personal accounts on a single page. Manage your accounts, access payroll and tax services, view business spending, view merchant reporting and more. It's easy with Online Banking.

How do I request additional cardholders for my account?

With our business credit cards, there is no limit to the additional cardholders you can have on your account and there is no extra charge for this service. You can request additional cardholders through Online Banking or by calling us at 1.800.892.3219.

Can I delegate account maintenance to someone else?

Yes. Upgrade to the Account Management service to get advanced features that let you delegate account viewing and management to trusted employees, partners and accountants, while maintaining secure control as the account owner.

Can I view all my accounts from different businesses and different financial institutions together?

Yes. Upgrade to the Account Management service to get advanced features that let you view accounts for separate businesses on a single page, split business and personal accounts into distinct sections on the same page for easy viewing and view accounts from other financial institutions.

Who do I contact at Bank of America if I have a question about my business credit card account?

If you have questions about your credit card account or rewards program, call 1.800.892.3219 and a representative will assist you.

Fraud and security

My business card was lost or stolen; what should I do?

If your card is lost, stolen, or misplaced, contact us immediately:

  • Within the continental United States, call us at 1.800.892.3219
  • From outside the United States, call us at 1.302.457.3281

Our representatives are available 24/7. We'll cancel your card and issue a replacement immediately.

Will my business be liable for fraudulent use?

You won't be liable for any unauthorized purchases or withdrawals from your account when you notify us promptly.

How secure is my account information online?

All data transmitted between your computer and our secure site is protected by an encryption method called Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). This is industry standard security software, which prevents anyone but Bank of America from viewing your personal details. SSL encodes your data before it is transmitted over the internet.

Online Banking

What is Online Banking?

Online Banking is an internet-based service that provides you a safe and convenient way to do your banking. With Online Banking, you can access information for multiple accounts, view current daily balances, get detailed transaction reports, download account data into Quicken or QuickBooks, and perform a wide range of other essential banking services. You can also send online payments for bills, taxes, and other expenses electronically. Learn more

How much does Online Banking cost?

Online Banking is a free service that gives you access to your accounts and lets you make transfers between your Bank of America accounts. Bill Pay, a feature of Online Banking that allows you to pay bills online, is also free.

How do I enroll in Online Banking?

Once you have your credit card, it's easy to enroll in Online Banking. You will need to provide security information such as your credit card security code (CVC) and expiration date, date of birth, business phone, and mother's maiden name. You will also be required to create a sign in name and passcode to access your account information.

I don't have my credit card; can I still enroll in Online Banking?

No. You are required to provide your credit card security code (CVC) and expiration date to enroll your account online.
Why do I need to provide my date of birth, business phone, and/or mother's maiden name?
To access your account online, we request you provide as much security information as you can. Your entries will be used solely to confirm your identity and protect your account.

What do I do if I forgot my sign in name or passcode?

If you forget your Online Banking ID, you can reset it from the Bank of America home page. Select Forgot or need help with your ID?

Who has access to my account information?

The primary accountholder, co-applicant and authorized users may enroll for Online Banking. After verifying the primary accountholder's information (such as date of birth, mother's maiden name, and business phone), each person must establish his or her own sign in name and passcode.

Once enrolled, can I begin using Online Banking immediately?

Yes. Once enrolled, you can begin using Online Banking immediately manage your account. Make payments, transfer funds, manage payroll and expenses and more. View our Online Banking features
